4 more days...
...left in America.
I can hardly believe that I'll be leaving to go to Africa for 6 weeks on Sunday. I am so excited, but it almost doesn't seem real to me yet. It's been like the opposite of HUF. When I got my plane tickets for Italy, I immediately went out and ran 3 miles because I was so excited. (And if you know me... that's saying I was too excited.) I have my tickets to Africa, my passport, my shots, my tie-dye t-shirts, long skirts, and Chaco's. But I still can't believe it! Don't get me wrong, I am so very excited to be blessed with this opportunity. It just hasn't sunk in yet. I know it will when I get to the airport on Sunday and see everyone in our group.
For an assignment in our multi-cultural issues class this summer, we're required to keep a blog. This... is not that blog. If you're interested, you can find that blog in a link over there on the side under daily reads-- it's the HIZ-Path group. This blog is just for me to post stories, pictures, and other memories of my trip. I hope you enjoy reading it and that you will keep my group and me in your prayers!

Rachel,
I am so jealous of your trip, but I have already said that. And the whole trip won't feel real to you, even when you get back! It took me a while to realize what I had actually just done. You will be great-hold lots of sweet African babies for me, don't waste a single day; it will be over so fast and you will be dying to have it back:) i love you norvie!!!
